Styleguide & Assets

Styleguide and CI Assets for
Ngungwulah Aboriginal Corporation (NAC).

Download links to specific assets are included below.
Some assets, like CMYK and Pantone color definitions are still in progress.

Icon, Logo & Logotype

The Ngungwulah icon

The Ngungwulah icon is a symbol of Nungwulah, the Spirit Bird, based on an original drawing by Angel White and her mother Eve White. It should only be used if Ngungwulah is mentioned in proximity and in certain cases on social media.

Note the icon reveals a lot of hints for our brand design:
- Colors
- Handdrawn black linear outline (e.g. illustration, black outline for buttons)
- Dotted line (eg. can be used as decoration/divider)
- Organic/rounded shapes

This link will take you to a Google Drive folder where the logos can be downloaded in different formats, sorted in folders by print or web use.

You can download whole folders with all logos or with the help of the logo names listed on this page you should be able to just download the required version(s).

The NAC logotype

This logo is to be used for official printables and representations of NAC whenever the full company Name needs to be communicated ( eg. Letterheads / Annual Reports )

The Ngungwulah logotype

This logo is to be used for social media and whenever a more playful approach is desired.
This logo is fitted into a square and spaced so it should also look good on apps where the uploaded image is cropped into a circle (this does of course not apply to the landscape version)

Illustration

Illustrations of the LeOsler icon font can be used if it makes contextual sense and helps getting the main message accross.
This linear style of illustration is the brand suggestion for illustrations in communications that are directly related to NGUNGWULAH.
Think of "How would I draw it in the sand with my fingers/a stick?"

The icon font is included in the LeOsler font download above.

Imagery & graphic elements

Without wanting to be too restrictive with rules regarding image content and mood, we're looking for images depicting autenticity, community, human interaction, rather than Instagram selfie aesthetics.

Currently we have no licensed high quality brand images but once we have a collection available we will provide download links here.

Images we like

Wavey shapes and color overlays

You can use our brand colors as image overlays (blends) to distinguish imagery and to apply (white) text on images to guarantee readability. Above example shows NAC Orange overlay with a blend setting of multiply.
No need for color overlay.
Colored wavey shape dividers to distinguish sections.
WAVEY SHAPE DIVIDERS
are essential NAC graphic elements:

Use them in white as picture frames on top and/or bottom of images.
Use them in color to distinguish sections with matching backgrounds.
DOWNLOAD WAVEY SHAPES
This takes you to a folder with an assortment of png wavey shapes and an Adobe Illustrator file that allows easy color/size modification.
Don't's:
Avoid extreme distortion of wavey shapes as in creating huge sines.
Avoid covering essential parts of the image with the wave shapes.
Avoid symetric mirroring of wavey shapes.

Mandala structure backgrounds

mandala backgroud darkbrown
mandala backgroud orange
These are additional background patterns that can be used to make designs more distinct.

Important: These are to be used as a background and the full mandala (uncropped) should never be shown without any other elements on top. Cropped segments of the mandalas can be used without any additional elements on top.

As a reference, see pricing tables on the Cultural Awareness page and the dark background on the Acknowledge country page.
